Impact Evaluation Service

Funders such as charitable trusts, lottery boards and statutory organisations are accountable to their stakeholders and need to know that their money is being used well.

Charities and other not-for-profit organisations therefore need to know how to demonstrate the impact of their work.

In particular, when assessing a major application for funding (especially for existing work) funders may require an independent evaluation of the project or service before committing to support it. For example, the National Lottery Community Fund now requires evaluations for all Reaching Communities bids that cover existing work.

We have experience in conducting impact evaluations for clients, especially those seeking funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. Such evaluations can be used to support major applications and help to secure continuation or development funding for projects. The evaluation report provides evidence of the impact of your project and is a valuable tool for fundraising. It can therefore be a good investment, as well as helping the organisation to measure its own impact.

One such evaluation we recently delivered was for Deafblind UK, which involved examining a project that had been funded by the National Lottery. The work was delivered by two members of our team and was very well received by the charity, which commented: "We wanted to extend our thanks to Wootton George Consulting for the evaluation that you provided for us for our recent project in Wales... Your report gave us new insights into our work, and has led to us to be able to apply for funding with the affirmation of our members.... Thank you to all at Wootton George for your understanding, your patience and support, and for holding up the mirror to our organisation and allowing us to create a better service for all those that need us."

If you have a project that needs to be evaluated, please contact us today on 01903 723519 to discuss your needs.
