Aiming for Zero Carbon

From 2011 Wootton George Consulting is aiming to become carbon neutral. To support this goal, we will be planting a tree for every new client contract we won during the year.

For many years, we our environmental policy has set out how the company seeks to limit its environmental impacts. Amongst other things, this involves choosing rail travel over car travel wherever possible, buying recycled office products and also reusing and recycling these when we can.

The new tree planting scheme now seeks to offset the carbon impact of the company. It is also a means of thanking new clients for their business. Trees will be planted in Ghana by the charity Climate Stewards. For further details of the project being supported through the scheme see: http://www.climatestewards.net/

Simon George, our Director, said: "We have been making efforts for some time to reduce our environmental footprint and this tree planting scheme is a great way of neutralising our carbon impact, while helping a community in Ghana and thanking our clients for their business. It won't save the planet but it takes us a bit closer to sustainability."
